Thousands of users are unable to access Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram due to a global outage on Meta’s social media accounts.
Details indicate that the problems started around 19:45 AM PST and are affecting the websites and applications of social media companies. Your password will be rejected due to the outage, and Facebook will immediately log users out.
After the outage, attempting to log in will result in credentials being rejected and an error message indicating that the login has expired.
In addition to Threads, the impacted social media networks were Instagram and Messenger. Instagram’s News Feed is displaying an error message.
Down Detector has accumulated over 300,000 reports since initial reporting, and Twitter and other platforms are inundated with similar outage reports.
