A Pakistani student traveled more than 4,000 km 6 months on foot to do the Hajj.

Usman Arshad, a Pakistani student, started his journey from his hometown of Okara in October 2022. He traveled through Pakistan, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates before arriving in Makkah for the Hajj pilgrimage. Usman made the incredible achievement of walking more than 4,000 kilometers to Saudi Arabia this week.

Usman got the notion to take on this unprecedented task after walking 1,270 kilometers in 34 days from Okara to the Khunjerab Pass close to the Chinese border in 2021. His goal was to enhance Pakistan’s reputation.

Usman successfully finished his journey and realized his desire to take part in the Hajj pilgrimage thanks to careful planning and his family’s support.
