About Your Position

f you’re a digital native, who lives and breathes social media (specifically TikTok) is beauty-obsessed and loves to have fun creating – then this is the role for you. So, what does the ideal candidate look like?

You’re a creative at heart with an in-depth understanding of digital marketing, organic content production, and social media in particular. The successful candidate will have great foundational design and copywriting skills, an understanding of performance-based reporting across all social platforms, and an enthusiasm for producing best-in-class work.

You will be responsible for creating digital-first content and optimizing it across numerous platforms; you will demonstrate the ability to define and execute a strategy based on testing and learning across the brand’s accounts.

You can conceptualize, produce, and execute lo-fi video assets end-to-end and you’re not shy in front of the camera.

Responsibilities

  • Manage brand social media pages and profiles to meet tailored KPIs, including TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and Pinterest.
  • Create thumb-stopping, engaging content across all channels.
  • Maintain and prioritize a strong presence on TikTok – jumping on challenges and trends as soon as they emerge and coordinating this execution with both influencers and team members.
  • Drive social commerce results by incorporating partnerships, affiliate links, and content strategies in partnership with the Head Of e-commerce and Influencer & Partnerships Manager.
  • Create, edit, publish, and share daily content schedules that aim to build meaningful connections and grow our established #CrownCareCommunity
  • Build strong relationships with content creators and influencers

Requirements

  • 2+ years in digital marketing and social media
  • Graphic design, communications, or marketing degree/qualification (not a deal breaker if the required skillset can be demonstrated)
  • Junior to mid-weight understanding of Adobe Suite and video editing software desirable (Photoshop and After Effects/Premiere Pro) as well as in-app editing proficiency across social platforms. Coaching supported by our Head of Creative will be provided throughout onboarding about nurturing this skillset.
  • Creative thinker, with a clear understanding of commercial outcomes.
  • Must have an excellent eye for trending aesthetics, and an understanding of beauty industry-specific benchmarks of best-in-class creative.
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth understanding of performance-based reporting; using data and metrics to measure impact and determine areas for growth, opportunity, and improvements.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and looking after a team of 3, the Social Media Manager is responsible for:

  • Creation of ghd ANZ’s overall social media strategy to increase brand awareness, audience engagement and ROI across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Effectively managing all owned & earned social campaigns, from planning, creation of content and monitoring execution, ensuring KPIs are set and reported on during and post-campaign to ensure objectives are reached
  • Responsible for social budget including boosting, content creation and influencer activation to ensure ROI

Requirements

  • You are a social media EXPERT with 4+ years in a similar role developing and executing strategy
  • Possess a deep understanding of all social platforms with proven results in increasing traffic, awareness, follower growth and engagement
  • Understanding of the full marketing mix and the role social plays within own, earned, and paid strategies
  • You have strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to collate and analyse data from multiple sources and provide clear actionable insights
  • 2+ years team management experience with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude
