Following a similar move for Skardu, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has increased the number of daily direct flights from Islamabad to Gilgit. To accommodate the rising number of tourists, the national flag carrier now provides two daily flights from Islamabad Airport to Gilgit.
Due to the spike in tourist traffic during school breaks, this decision was made. Because of an increase in demand for Skardu flights during the summer vacation, PIA decided to add direct flights from Lahore and Karachi as well.
The airline’s recent introduction of direct flights between Karachi and Skardu is evidence of its dedication to accommodating traveller needs and offering simple connectivity to well-known tourist destinations in Pakistan.
