In order to compete with Zoom and Microsoft, Google Meet is delivering HD 1080p resolution for its web browser video conversations.
In an effort to compete with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, which already provide HD video resolutions, Google Meet is now rolling out 1080 resolution for its video chats.
The new upgrade is presently only accessible through the web, calls for a 1080p camera, and is only compatible with two-person meetings. Both Google One members with at least 2TB of storage and premium Google Meet versions now have access to the capability.
Users must actively upgrade their Google Meet because it is not enabled by default. Users will be informed that they can now allow visitors to view them in HD by a pop-up from the change button.
In this latest release, Google Meet has also added new emoji reactions and automatic transcriptions.
