A big bridge in Baltimore fell apart on Tuesday after a container ship hit it. The collapse caused cars to fall into the water. Emergency teams, including the Coast Guard, rushed to help. Two people were saved, but six are still missing. They were working on the bridge when it collapsed. Luckily, no one was in the cars that fell into the water.
The ship sent a distress signal before the crash, stopping traffic on the bridge. Jerome Hajjar, a bridge expert, says older bridges may not be strong enough for big ships. He calls the collapse a tragedy. Video shows the ship hitting the bridge, which then falls into the water.
