Alphabet's stocks surge by 7% after news of potential deal with Apple for Gemini AI in iPhones

Alphabet’s stock went up by more than 7% on Monday after news that Apple might use Google’s Gemini AI tools for future iPhones. Apple’s stock also rose by over 2%.

Gemini is a set of smart tools made by Google, like chatbots and helpers for coding.

A report from Bloomberg says Apple is talking to Google about using Gemini in iPhones. They’re discussing using Gemini for new iPhone features coming later this year.

Apple usually talks about new iPhone stuff in June at its big developer conference. That’s when we might hear more about this.

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, mentioned they’re really into AI at a meeting with shareholders in February. He hinted at exciting stuff coming later this year.

Bloomberg’s report also mentions Apple talking with OpenAI about using their tech, but nothing’s final yet.
